Flying Competition Day - 05 /06/2011

Invitations were sent out to the Kyneton, Kerang and Mid Murray Flying club (Swan Hill) to join with our members for lunch and day of fun flying.

Unfortunately the weather gods let us down and only a couple of aircraft from out of town flew in for lunch. All up a great competions day with nine entries and about 30 for lunch and afternoon tea.

We were very happy to have the President of Mid Murray Club (Swan Hill) Veronica Collins and her family join us as well (by road). They have a small problem with their AC (RV6-A), it won't carry all of the family members at once!

Veronica and daughter Alicia inspecting AC on the flight line. Alicia (almost 11) informed me that she is the one who enjoys flying the most out of the children. Veronica is the first female President of the MMFC in 60 years.

Peter Mc Carthy flew his Texan in from Kyneton (30 knot head wind). Peter is a BFC club member, he hangers his Texan at Kyneton. He was doing his best to hold up the Kyneton end, "not much happening at Kyneton today".

Beautifully presented Texan.

Terry Ayres and Ernie Moore flew down from Kerang for the afternoon in their Cessna 172. They were keeping, their eye on the weather that was slowly closing in. Ernie has been flying for 25 years and Terry about 4-5 years, they keep the 172 hangered on Ernies property North West of Kerang
