RA CATEGORY TRAINING.

Flying training is conducted in a Tecnam P92 Super Echo, high wing aircraft. Registered #24-4851

This is a Certified 2 seat Light Sport Aircraft and is available for both training and hire to club members.

FLYING CLUB MEMBERSHIP for PILOTS
First year Student Pilot membership to Flying Club $60.50 (discount rate first year)
Full Membership $121 - per pilot
plus $22 nomination fee.

RA MEMBERSHIP
12 months RA Student Licence and Membership $160 (includes monthly full colour RA Magazine) 

BOOKS
Theory Kit & Log Book, Approx $150

AIRCRAFT HIRE
Private Hire Rate for Tecnam, Solo $120 per hour.
Training Rate while under instruction $175 per hour.
Archer II special winter rate $135 per hour
(normally $175 per hour)

FLYING HOURS REQUIRED
20 HRS. minimum flight training in Tecnam (including 5 HRS. Solo) 

However it can take longer, depending on the aptitude of the student and previous experience.

MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS
Same as for a motor vehicle drivers licence.

From age 15 years, no max age limit, provided you meet the medical requirements

CAN YOU CONVERT FROM GA TO RA?
(GA = General Aviation, RA = Recreational Aviation)YES, after being assessed by an instructor you then need to complete a total of 5 hours flying practice.

CAN YOU CONVERT FROM RA TO GA?
YES, 100% of your flying hours in an RA group "A" aircraft such as the Tecnam will go towards your GA PPL licence.

COST OF LEARNING TO FLY RA at Bendigo Flying Club.

Approx. $3620... Including RA Membership based on 20hrs. Minimum.
Considerably cheaper than GA and more fun!

Conversion from GA to RA for Club Members is approx. $1025 including your membership with Recreational Aviation Australia (RAA).
