WINGS NIGHT 13th. SEPT 2008.
MEET - GREET - EAT & TALK............photo page 1 of 2.
A great night was had by all, meet and greet, followed by eat and talk, then the new pilots received their awards followed by the POT for the many misdemeanours by various club members over the last year. Speeches and congratulations for a job well done by the past committee, general chat and then the happy throng headed for home and a soft bed .......... Back to flying tomorrow!
The Morse family getting ready for the festivities, Sue & Tim looking relaxed, followed by Margaret, and Edith looking like Tony just stood on her foot.

Gwen looking very happy, then John & Ruth with Linda caught in that frozen moment when the shutter goes click, she is used to frozen moments!

Jan looking her usual happy self, enjoying some nice wine, Tony & Margaret looking like they are sitting apart but that's just a photographic illusion.

Bruce and his lovely wife Jean. Sam with the biggest grin on the night waiting for his award, Edith with that happy country girl smile that she always has.

Colin in a serious conversation with Heather, George thinking what can I get up to next, followed by Ken who is rebuilding an Auster in his spare time.

Alan reciting the instructors prayer, keep your head down shut your eyes and hang on. Jason & Shannon. Deslee hiding from the camera all to Col's delight.

Some of these photos could get me killed, photography can be more dangerous than flying. Friends and family of Daan our youngest RAA flyer.

Great to see such a large group turn up to support a young man with a great future ahead of him, the sky is not the limit, just the beginning.

Peter just returning to aviation after a break & Anthea is about to try her first TIF. that's flying of course they are obviously very happy.
Steve's always looks a bit blurry after a few drinks don't blame the photographer ;-)

Richard pilots an open cockpit Jodel D9 and he can execute a perfect barrel roll with a twitch of his moustache in the slip stream, hands off the controls.
Frances clearly does not believe it and Leonie is still thinking about it, as Richard is my best mate I can vouch for the fact it's TRUE ...JL. Seagull ;-)

The barmaid is gorgeous and her bloke is cute as well, but have a thought for Harry as he says, you think photography is hard try flying a helicopter.

Here are a few group shots as it's hard to fit 56 people into one photo, as you can see they are all having a great time you should have been here too.

George breaks right as the tracer bullets skip past the left wing. Anthea has everyone's attention and aviation stories circulate freely among the crew.

The kids have grouped together outnumbered by all these noisy adults. Then we move into the more serious discussions in the control tower.

To add to the festivities the Crigan / Kostiuk Squadron lands and moves into the main hangar to report on the sortie over the channel.
( There has to be at least one channel between here and Castlemaine ;-)
